Stress, the Defensive Mind & Why Scarcity Keeps You Stuck

Good day, amazing ones!

Stress. Where does it come from?

Can you relate to any of these?

Stress. Overwhelm. Unclear. Uncertain. Confusion. Unstable. Anxious. Frustrated. Controlling.

Feel into your body for a moment. Where do these words live in you?

These words describe listening to the defensive mind — the unconscious, fearful, familiar part of us.

It’s the last place to make decisions from, because it’s rooted in scarcity.

And scarcity will never give you what you want or who you're called to be.

Most people live here without realizing it. They push for more, do more, grasp for more… yet it’s never enough.

But there is another way.

Where decisions are made from is everything.

Your body is first.
It leans forward when something is aligned. It contracts when something is off.

Your heart is second.
Your heart expands toward joy, peace, desire, possibility.

When you dream about the vision in front of you — this is the place to listen from.

Your mind is last.
Not the fearful mind, but the curious, creative mind that can hear new perspectives and new possibilities.

The fearful mind will always give you reasons why you can’t.
The unconscious mind will always say it’s not possible.
It will try to pull you back into what’s familiar — even when the familiar is painful.

This is where stress begins.

When the fearful mind leads, stress and fear take over.
You ignore the desire in your heart — moment by moment, day by day — until stress becomes your way of being.

This is the stress:
not living who you are called to be.

Then the controlling mind jumps in.
It tells you how others should be, how you should be, and why the world isn’t cooperating.
It traps you in “If only… then I’d finally feel okay.”
That’s victimhood.

You cannot control the world — and that’s why trying leaves you hopeless.

But you can master your mind and what you choose to believe.

Your beliefs create your feelings.
Your feelings drive your behaviors.
Your behaviors create your outcomes.

This is where freedom starts.
